Lazy Days

Lazy Days
9 x 12 Oil on Linen Panel

While going through some of my old drawings, I found this one from almost 30 years ago. When I first created this drawing of the girl blowing bubbles, I had another little girl holding a babydoll looking up at her. I wanted to change the little girl to a little boy wearing knickers holding a sailboat. For this painting composition, I decided to have a small dog instead of the boy. During the lazy days of yesteryear, a little girl is seen blowing bubbles while her dog trys to catch them, if he can.
