I did some extensive research on Wild Bill Hickok before starting this painting. I visited Deadwood, SD several times to see his grave and Old Saloon Number 10 where he was shoot. The most important thing I tried to capture was his lazy eye. Look close and you might see which one it is.
Need to work a little more on the jacket to get the folds right, and then add smoke coming from the pistols.
